📝 Ingredients
For the Chicken Stew:
- 1 kg chicken (bone-in pieces or boneless thighs)
- 1 medium onion (chopped)

1️⃣ Cook the Chicken
- In a large pot, add chicken and broth.
- Simmer 20–25 minutes until fully cooked.
- Remove chicken, shred it, and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Stew Base
- In the same pot, melt butter.
- Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook 5 minutes.
- Stir in flour and cook 1 minute.
- Slowly add milk and stir until slightly thick.
- Return shredded chicken to the pot.
- Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
3️⃣ Prepare Dumplings
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add milk and mix gently (don’t overmix).
4️⃣ Cook Dumplings
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into simmering stew.
- Cover and cook 15 minutes (do NOT lift lid).
- Dumplings will puff up and cook through.
