Ingredients
- 2 cups green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk

Instructions
- Cook the peas
Boil the peas in salted water for 3–5 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside. - Make the sauce
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute to make a roux. - Add milk
Slowly whisk in the milk. Cook and stir until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth. - Season
Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. - Combine
Stir the cooked peas into the creamy sauce and heat for 2–3 minutes. - Serve
Serve warm as a side dish.
Tips
- Add crispy bacon pieces for extra flavor.
- Stir in a little grated cheese for a richer sauce.
